As a part of the educational community we are more and more surprised to think now a days how we have approached education and been engaged in different activities with our dear students which are beyond classroom and written books but more engaging, joyful, fulfilling and not definitely outside the spirit of education. Here is a list of our most prominent school activities and programmes in recent months.
Vertical Garden : Has been recently erected and initiated by enthusiastic teachers and students – a greener premises and a joyful atmosphere.
Rainwater Harvesting : Pipes, attached water tank fixed to use roof water for daily use – a new step for tomorrow.
Joint activities with seven spoke schools : 15th August joint rally, sit and draw competition, cultural functions – at first seen as administrative advantages like teacher and infrastructure sharing but now for students and teachers – a common platform, friendships, competition and conversation forming an area-wise educational community in all sense.
Cancer Screening (09.07.2023) :Initiated by Ward no.2,KMC and its councillor Dr. Kakoli Sen, our teachers and girl students (not to mention HM Dr.Arpita Banerjee , president of the M.C. and Honourable MP Dr. Santanu Sen) participated in the programme – a forward looking initiative.
Summer Projects : Initiated by government orders, teachers sprung into action with our happy little ones visiting and learning in the Belgachia Veterinary College, Clive House, local Banks, Post Office, Birla Institute of Technology etc.
Consumer Forum : Year round active group taking steps to check plastic pollution arranging seminars to aware young minds about consumer rights, air pollution importance of conservation of traditional medicinal plants, composting etc.
Dengue Awareness Program : Like the previous years a ‘must do’ programme carried out to create awareness to save lives in the locality.
Student Week : Observed with many activities – Book day, exposure visit, PT meeting, plantation and cleanliness drive among many others.
